Ms. McKinney has been associated with SDI for 10 years. Under the direction of the President, who serves as Project Manager, she has been the lead professional assigned to Miami-Dade County, St. Johns County, North Miami Beach, and Homestead projects. Ms. McKinney possesses key skills to coordinate all aspects of the CRA process, including data collection and research, site surveys and photographic documentation, and document production. She is also key professional in structuring redevelopment program guidelines and implementation strategies. Ms. McKinney also prepares sample resolutions and ordinances, legal notices, PowerPoint presentations and presentation materials for public meetings and workshops. Ms. McKinney’s experience in the field of redevelopment includes:

  • Key City staff assigned to coordinate the creation a community redevelopment agency for the City of South Miami.
  • Executive Director of the South Miami CRA.
  • Lead professional assigned to the preparation of numerous Findings of Necessity and Redevelopment Plans completed by SDI.
  • Lead professional assigned to the preparation of RFP/Q documents and annual reports for CRA clients.

Ms. McKinney has 5 years experience in municipal government as CRA Executive Director, Assistant City Manager,and Interim City Manager. She was instrumental in creating the South Miami Community Redevelopment Agency, which was approved by the Miami-Dade County Commission in 1999. As the city’s pivotal staff person for this initiative, her responsibility was to coordinate the overall effort. Ms. McKinney worked extensively with citizens groups and County officials, prepared visual presentations and photographic site documentation, and coordinated the public information efforts.
